Bei den Klavierst\u00fccken der vorliegenden Ausgabe handelt es sich um Erstausgaben. Die handschriftlichen Vorlagen befinden sich heute in der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, Preu\u00dfischer Kulturbesitz, Musikabteilung mit Mendelssohn-Archiv.
Die Klavierst\u00fccke dieser Ausgabe zeigen die unterschiedlichen Stile der Komponistin: In der Fuga Es-Dur wird auf barocke Formen zur\u00fcckgegriffen, das Klavierst\u00fcck a-Moll ist eines der umfangreichsten und gleichzeitig ein sehr anspruchsvolles Konzerst\u00fcck, \u00e4hnlich wie das Klavierst\u00fcck e-Moll mit einem fragmentarischen Schlussteil.
Das Klavierst\u00fcck a-Moll im Anhang ist ein fragmentarisches Fr\u00fchwerk der damals 15-j\u00e4hrigen Fanny Hensel.<\/p>
